Rorippa – Water Cress

Description

Dark green foliage with small white flowers.  Commonly called watercress it is one of the oldest known leaf vegetables

Position:  Sun, part shade

Flowering:    May to August

Height Above Water:  15-60cm

Height Below Water:  0-10cm

This plant will continue to grow through mild winters.  It can be cut back vigorously at any time to tidy

Even native plants placed in the wrong location can cause environmental damage
